![]() ![]() | The Old Port of Menton The Old Port of Menton, (municipal port) is located at the foot of the old town and dominated by the Saint-Michel Basilica. The old port goes from 460 moorings in winter to 590 in summer. It is lined by many restaurants offering menus of fish freshly caught by the Menton fishermen and next to the large private and public beaches. It can be easily reached on foot from your Hotel le Méditerranée. The Menton-Garavan port Located just before the border with Italy, the Garavan Port is one of the biggest ports on the Côte d’azur. It has 800 moorings including 176 moorings for passing boats. With a boat yard and a supply station, the port of Menton Garavan has all the services that leisure boats expect. |

Jean Cocteau Severin Wunderman Collection Museum | |
![]() ![]() | A new Jean Cocteau Museum opened in November 2011 in Menton with the exceptional donation of Severin Wunderman, collector of Belgian origin. Located by the sea, a few steps from the museum's Bastion on the platform Monléon, the new museum Jean Cocteau became the world's largest public resource of the work of Jean Cocteau. In 2005, the love story between Jean Cocteau and Menton continues thanks to the donation of Severin Wunderman who owned more than 1525 works of the poet. The town of Menton is then naturally engaged with the support of Ministry of Culture and Communication to create a public museum. The Museum Jean Cocteau Severin Wunderman collection presents the poet's work from 1910 to 1950. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 except Tuesdays and January 1st, May 1st, November 1st and December 25th. Every Friday night in July and August until 22:00. |

Saint Michel Basilica | |
![]() | Just 5 minutes walk away, the Saint Michel Basilica of Menton is one of the jewels of Baroque art. Its square made of pebbles represents the Grimaldi Coat of Arms (Princes of Monaco). Saint-Michel Archange was proclaimed a basilica in March 1999, by decree of the Pope John Paul II. This title, granted in perpetuity, is in recompense for the dynamism of the liturgical and pastoral life of the Menton church. Russian Church | |
![]() | The Russian Orthodox church of Menton was built by the Danish architect Georg Tersling at the end of the 19th Century thanks to the Grand Duchess Anastasia, the aunt of Tsar Nicolas II. This building is a mix of Eastern and Western styles. The church interior is richly decorated and displays many Orthodox Icons produced by the Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg.
